The national park staff has published previously unreleased shots.

Employees of the North Velebit National Park posted on Facebook shots of wild animals, wolves and bears in play, shot during the previous winter months, reports 24sata.hr on August 30, 2018.

“Now is the right time is right for us to use this opportunity and share these shots with you,” wrote the employees of the national park.

They did not forget to warn everybody that the animals in question, although playing, are wild beasts and are quite dangerous. “Regardless of how much playful they look, do not forget that these are large beasts,” they wrote.

Although the photos were shot in late March, during the first days of spring, they have been published only now.

“It is rare to see wild animals so playful. Most often, the cameras catch them just coming or leaving,” explained Mirko Vukušić from the National Park staff.

And that is why these shots are so special. We can see young playful wolves, a bear slipping on the ice…

But do not think you will encounter them in the woods. Wolves are quite scared and are always on alert, so they can smell a man and you can almost never see them yourselves.

The bears are a different story. They are always sniffing around and forgetting themselves, so it is possible to see them sometimes, explained Vukušić.

The videos can be seen here.
