Danijela Galeković, a member of the Midiken Agency, will be Croatia’s representative at the World Top Model 2018 competition. She won the honour at the World Top Model Croatia 2018 beauty pageant which was held in Korčula over the weekend, reports Korčula Online on June 18, 2018.
The first runner-up is Ana Klarić from the Talia Model agency, while the second runner-up is Marta Malenica from the Leona agency from Šibenik.
Thirteen contestants demonstrated their modelling skills in front of the jury featuring designers Ana Edišar and Božica Medić-Juraković, fashion critic Gordana Bjažević, businesswomen Sanja Faber and Ilijana Jerković, entrepreneur Ivana Škender, painter Charles Billich, producer Steve Ravic, entrepreneur Darko Tomek, marketing and sales director of HTP Korčula tourist company Mihajlo Grgić, the World Top Model global licence owner Fiore Tondi, and owner of licences for six regional countries Sandra Šerbec.
“Danijela Galeković won by the slimmest of margins, but all the ladies were great and only minute details decided who the winner will be. I believe that Danijela will achieve an excellent result at the world competition that is expected to be held in December in China,” said Sandra Šerbec, the license owner.
Guests gathered at the Korčula Culture Centre were delighted with performances by Jacques Houdek and the young jazz singer Dora Škender, as well as with the charming host Boris Kosmač. The audience enjoyed the presentation of brands AE Design, Axa Fashion, Iva Karačić, Galeb, Bags by Kristina and Hogl. One of the highlights of the evening was a cheerful choreography in Varteks’ special “football fan” dresses, which enabled the ladies to show their support to Croatia’s national football team which is taking part in the World Cup in Russia.
