Zadar Records More Arrivals But Less Overnight Stays

The peak tourist season is fast approaching.

The tourist season is fast approaching, and with last year being the most successful Croatian summer season on record, having broken numerous records in incredible time, most are expecting this summer to match it, with some going as far as to predict an even better season.

As eZadar writes on the 13th of June, 2018, Zadar is recording all the more arrivals, but less overnight stays.

In April, there were 60,000 tourist arrivals and 145,000 overnight stays in Zadar County, when compared to April of last year, that number was 8 percent higher, but the number of overnight stays spent by those said arrivals has decreased by 6 percent owing to the smaller number of arrivals of foreign guests during the month of April.

While Zadar is indeed recording a smaller number of overnight stays, other cities in the wider Zadar County area have recorded double-digit tourism growth in April and in arrivals and nights, the current leader of that trend continues to be the town of Pag, which has seen its numbers increase by as much as 454 percent, reports Radio Zadar.
