EU funds help Zagreb’s tourism take on a new perspective.
As Darko Bicak/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 3rd of July, 2018, Pedicab have designed a new type of tour around the city, having begun with ten vehicles and expanded the offer ever since.
Recently, visitors to Zagreb have been able to experience the city from a different perspective as Pedicab offers them a unique tricycle service with an auxiliary electric motor through the city.
As the young Zagreb entrepreneurs behind this project, Emil Kirbiš and Filip Pribilović have explained, visitors can now get to know the capital city and see all the cultural sights, attractions and interesting things in a shorter period of time.
The two state that riding in the Pedicab can be compared with riding in a carriage, and the idea itself came from tricycles that exist in larger cities around the world/
The drivers are experienced and likeable, along with Croatian, they speak at least English, some Italian, French, Spanish, and Arabic, and during the ride, they inform the tourists about current events and exhibitions at every important location,” noted Kirbiš, emphasising that this project incorporates knowledge and long-standing work experience in management, sales, and tourism.
“We started with ten tricycles and as the interest was great, we estimated that we’d need another ten vehicles,”
European Union funds were used in the investment itself, while the Croatian small business and investment agency helped out.
“As this was our first experience with any form of funding from EU funds, we’re extremely pleased with the professional assistance in designing and writing up an investment project, and our advice to all entrepreneurs who are thinking about expanding and investing in business is to be fearless and turn to HAMAG-BICRO without hesitation, to make sure that the procedure around it all is neither complicated nor long-lasting,” concluded Kirbiš.
