May the 18th, 2024 – We’ve all realised that Croatian Eurovision star Baby Lasagna (Marko Purisic) is impossible to dislike. For anyone still on the fence, the fact that he asked for his 50,000 euro government reward to be donated to hospitals should do the trick.

As Dnevnik writes, after the government made a decision to award Croatian Eurovision star Baby Lasagna 50 thousand euros owing to his success at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, the singer’s first reaction warmed many hearts.

He announced on Instagram that he couldn’t accept that money. He stated that there are many who need it more than he does, and he also wrote about whom he would like the money to be donated.

Here’s his Instagram post in its entirety:

“I’d like to thank the Croatian Government for the monetary award in the amount of 50,000 euros. However, I cannot accept that money. I could give many reasons as to why I can’t, but the first, most important and sufficient one is that there are many other individuals and organisations to whom this money would be much more helpful.

I hereby ask Mr. Plenković to donate 25,000 euros on behalf of me and the Croatian Government to the Institute for Pediatric Oncology and Hematology. Furthermore, I’d like to donate the other 25,000 euros to the Institute for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation at KBC Zagreb. Thank you.”

Baby Lasagna won hearts all over Europe, and it seems he’s in no rush to stop doing it yet.
