Burger King Planning to Open 15 New Restaurants Across Croatia

The popular fast food restaurant chain is planning a major expansion in Croatia.

While some (okay, many) will always favour the priceless taste of cevapi in lepinja, doused in ajvar and complimented with a lot of onion, some prefer the flavours of fast food from the other side of the Atlantic. As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 23rd of November, 2017, Split is about to get a taste of the internationally popular American fast food chain.

By opening a branch in Split, the hugely successful American BURGER KING® begins on a new chapter in Croatia, announcing a major expansion in the domestic market. The first BURGER KING® in Croatia was opened back in in 2014 on the A1 motorway, and one year later, another found its place in Zagreb’s busy Arena Center, both under the ownership of Marche, was opened. This upcoming venture in Split marks the beginning of the further development of this popular fast food chain.

Over the next three years, the owner of the BURGER KING® franchise for Croatia, Kraljevi Restorani, plans to open fifteen outlets in several locations in larger Croatian cities.

In Australia, the company owns several branches operating under the BURGER KING® standard as well as several restaurants from the well-known American chain – Outback Steakhouse. Kraljevi Restorani has acquired the right to develop and open all future BURGER KING® facilities in the Republic of Croatia.
