ZAGREB, September 20, 2018 – In the first seven months of 2018, Croatia’s nine airports recorded nearly six million passengers, up 11.5% on the year, including nearly two million in July alone (+7.4%), according to the national statistical office.
In July 2018, Split airport recorded the highest number of passengers, 692,000, up 6% on the year. Dubrovnik was second with 470,500 passengers (+7%), while Zagreb was third with 378,100 passengers (+8.1%). The highest number of foreign passengers came from Germany, Great Britain, France, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Spain, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Also in July 2018, Croatian airports recorded 19,500 flights, up 6.6% on the year, while 69,400 flights were recorded in the first seven months of the year (+7%).
In July, airports recorded a cargo turnover of 1,157 tonnes, up 25.5% on the year, while in the first seven months of 2018, cargo turnover jumped 51% to nearly 7,000 tonnes.
