A call for investors is published for the prime Muzil peninsula near Pula.
The Office for State Property Management (DUUDI) on Friday published a call for investors to express their interest for the development of the Muzil project near Pula. The deadline for interested investors is December 6. This announcement has been published pursuant to the decision of the Government made at the end of October to implement the project which will include complex with 2,270 beds, beaches, an 18 hole golf course, a marina with 380 berths, and a performance and congress centre, reports Poslovni.hr on November 7, 2015.
The value of investments just in the tourist part of the complex is estimated to be between 150 and 200 million euros, and the whole process should be carried out on the model of the Kupari complex near Dubrovnik. In the call for expression of interest, DUUDI states that the project will be implemented by establishing the right to build for a period of 99 years, and by a public tender for the concession on maritime domain under special regulations and in accordance with applicable spatial plans.
The Muzil peninsula is the location of a former military training centre in Pula, which covers about 170 hectares of land located in the westernmost part of the Pula Bay and represents the central part of the Pula Riviera. The entire area is made up of a number of cadastral plots owned by the state and the City of Pula.
A letter with the expression of interest may be submitted by domestic and foreign legal and natural persons, who may request documentation about the properties located on the Muzil peninsula. In order to receive the documents, potential investors have to pay 15,000 kuna. In the letter of interest, potential investors must present their professional skills in the implementation and management of prior similar projects and describe how they would implement the Muzil project, and they have to include other supporting documents as well.
