ZAGREB, April 8, 2018 – Croatia Airlines flew nearly 330,000 passengers in the first quarter of 2018, an increase of about 7% over the same period last year.

The national carrier is introducing three new routes and increasing the number of weekly flights on the existing routes for the summer flight schedule. From May 3 to October 28, Croatia Airlines will be flying for the first time between Zagreb and Dublin twice weekly, the company’s director for network and revenue management Krešimir Mlinar said at a press conference.

Mlinar said that ten new destinations had been introduced in the last three years. He said that the company was not planning to expand its fleet of 12 aircraft but, like last year, it would charter two aircraft from Air Nostrum to meet the increased demand during the summer season.

Speaking of news routes in the summer flight schedule, Mlinar mentioned new seasonal routes between Dubrovnik and Munich and between Split and Copenhagen, as well as more domestic flights. He said that Croatia Airlines would be operating direct flights to 40 destinations in 24 European countries, and that the company expected to break its last year’s record of 2.1 million passengers transported.
