Two companies, one question, and two rather different answers…
”We’re confident that it would be useful not only for these companies, but for the Croatian economy as a whole,” read a statement from Adris Group.
As Poslovni Dnevnik reports on the 17th of September, 2017, it seems that Atlantic Group and Adris Group have set up a consortium with the intention of taking over some Agrokor companies. N1 confirmed this information following contact with the two companies.
According to reports, it would seem that the companies are interested in Ledo and Jamnica. Adris Group expressed their readiness to set up a consortium, as well as their intention to invite other successful Croatian companies [to partake], which they consider to be useful for the Croatian economy.
“Adris Group does not comment on what the media says, but if the [right] conditions are there, Adris Group is ready, together with other successful Croatian companies, to seek a complete solution for Agrokor, and in question are companies which have business credibility and investment potential. We’re sure that it would be useful not only for these companies but for the Croatian economy as a whole,” stated Adris Group for N1.
From Atlantic Group, however, there is a different answer entirely.
“Atlantic Group is not undertaking any activities related to the formation of a consortium for the purchase of parts of the Agrokor system. As a listing company, we’d first notify the Zagreb Stock Exchange of such intentions, and we cannot interpret what the media are saying,” wrote a statement from Atlantic Group in response to the inquiry.
