A more reliable solution for transatlantic flights to Croatia for 2016?
After the fiasco of the much-vaunted SkyGreece Airlines service from Toronto to Zagreb this summer, reliable aviation blog ExYuAviation reported on September 4, 2015, that a new service from Canada’s leading leisure airline will be introducing a direct service between the two cities, starting on June 14, 2016.
The new service, operated by Air Transat, will have similar rotations as the failed SkyGreece service. The new route will be officially announced in the coming days, but tickets are already available via various booking engines, according to the ExYuAviation report, which you can read here. The airlines carries some three million passengers a year, making it somewhat more established and reliable than this year’s carrier.
After much fanfare, including a visit to Canada by Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin and Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Ratomir Ivicic, the SkyGreece service ceased operations after a few weeks.
