Anđelko Leko Selling Luxury Hotels in Zagreb and Dubrovnik? Apparently Not

Lauren Simmonds

Leko claims nothing has been agreed so far.

As 24sata reports on the 18th of September, 2017, Jutarnji List attempted to obtain this information from the man himself, and in a short telephone conversation with him, it was confirmed that he had indeed received offers in recent months, but it appears that the media has misunderstood Mr. Leko, as reported by tportal.

It was claimed that one of the longest-running Croatian hoteliers and owner of HUP Zagreb, Anđelko Leko, has negotiated the sale of his complete portfolio of hotels over the last few months, but that seems to not be the case. Leko claims that he is searching for strategic partners, but hasn’t even so much as thought about selling hotels.

“As of yet, nothing is done or agreed. There were several conversations and some interest, but I didn’t make any business,” said the CEO of HUP briefly.

HUP – Zagreb dd owns six hotels in the City of Zagreb: Westin, Sheraton, Panorama, Adriatic, Zagreb and International, and three hotels and villas in Dubrovnik, the last of which is the luxurious Hotel Sheraton Dubrovnik Riviera which opened back in 2015 as part of an enormous investment worth more than 80 million euros.
