Arcotel Allegra Hotel in the centre of Zagreb is closing due to not being able to extend the lease but will seek new opportunities elsewhere in Zagreb.
After 15 years of business, Zagreb Hotel Arcotel Allegra will close its doors by the end of this year, reports Poslovni.hr on October 19, 2017. As they explain in the announcement, the hotel is closing down because they were unable to extend the lease agreement with the Branimir Center [where the hotel is located], but did not reveal the details.
Arcotel Allegra opened in 2003 and now, 15 years later, will be closed with the expiration of the lease agreement with Branimir Center. The Arcotel Hotels Group sought to extend the lease, but unsuccessfully. The hotel will continue to operate until December 31, 2017.
“We would like to resume our operations in this hotel,” explains Martil Lochout, CEO of Arcotel Hotel AG. “We believe in the destination and are interested in new hotel projects in Zagreb”.
“Arcotel Allegra is a project that is very dear to my heart and I have many fond memories of this place. We want to thank all our guests, clients, business partners and companions,” says Dr Renate Wimmer, owner of the ARCOTEL group.
The Arcotel Group runs 11 business and city hotels in Austria, Germany and Croatia. In August 2017, the third hotel in Vienna, Arcotel Donauzentrum, was opened. The family company, founded in 1989 in Vienna, attaches great importance to the personal and individual approach combining it with international standard and top quality. The group employs more than 850 satisfied employees.
