Best Women Entrepreneurs in Croatia Awarded

ZAGREB, May 23, 2018 – Celebrating International Women Entrepreneurs’ Day, the Croatian Association of Business Women – KRUG on Wednesday presented awards to the most successful women entrepreneurs in Croatia in 2018 in three categories.

Marija Maja Šebulc, the owner of the first private pharmacy, was awarded the Best Woman Entrepreneur award.

The title of the Best Woman Manager went to Milena Perković of Pula’s Arena Hospitality Group.

Danijela Kasumović Maružin, the owner of the Punkt company which employs marginalised groups on the labour market, was elected the Best Woman Entrepreneur in Social Entrepreneurship.

The president of the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) Gordana Deranja said HUP has been supporting women enterprises for years. In cooperation with the Canadian Embassy, HUP launched the initiative “30 plus” promoting the idea of women accounting for 30% of members of management board.
