The total value of the contracts, each worth from HRK 64 to 113 million, exceeds one billion kunas. Although tenders were established for the period from January 1, 2018, to December 31, 2023, the invitation also states the possibility of extending it by the end of 2027.
At the same time, until August 24, a tender for two profitable state lines has been opened and re-launched; a ferry line connecting Trogir, Slatina and Split, and one between Stari Grad and Split. The procedures for granting public transport concessions for those lines were nullified in July. In the same round of tenders, several profitable lines were granted to their concessionaires. According to the Decision of the Board of the Agency, Jadrolinija has been given to run and maintain five ferry lines (Valbiska – Merag, Porozina – Brestova, Prizna – Žigljen, Supetar – Split, Dominče – Orebic) and Rapska plovidba will maintain the Mišnjak – Stinica ferry line.
