The large spa reconstruction project in Slavonia continues.
Bizovačke Toplice on Friday inaugurated renovated indoor swimming pools. More than 18 million kuna were invested in this phase of the reconstruction process, and the spa management team has already announced further investments in renovation of a hotel and the extension of the aqua park, reports Poslovni.hr on August 20, 2016.
Director of the company running the spas Stjepko Bulić said that renovation of the indoor pools represented the fourth phase of the overall investment initiative. So far, Bizovačke Toplice have invested more than 50 million kuna, which includes the building of modern spa facilities and the largest wave pool in Croatia.
He also announced the next moves, which will include the extension of the spa aqua park, an investment worth between 20 and 25 million kuna, as well as the reconstruction of the Termia hotel, which will cost around 25 million kuna. Therefore, the overall investment in the spa facilities should amount to about 100 million kuna.
“This year was a turning point for Bizovačke Toplice. We expect that the upgrade of the aqua park complex will be completed by June next year, which will be a big step forward for us. All the planned construction works, including the reconstruction of the hotel, should be completed no later than the middle of 2018”, said Bulić.
Vladimir Šišljagić, the Mayor of Osijek-Baranja County, said that, with the current and future investments, Bizovačke Toplice would become the new county tourist destination, which will offer, along with sports and recreational facilities, modern spa facilities with the rehabilitation medical services, which will complete the whole project and make it interesting for visitors from outside of the county as well.
