Croatia Airlines introduced its service to Oslo as part of the company’s expansion to Scandinavian routes (Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo), which TCN wrote about here.
As Ex-Yu Aviation reported on March 23, 2017, the Oslo route will get an additional service, so there will be three flights a week instead of the initally planned two (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday).
The carrier’s CEO, Krešimir Kučko, noted, “We are pleased that we will establish flights between our two countries for the first time in Croatia Airlines’ history. The Norwegian market has great potential and that is why we will be offering the fastest connections to South-eastern Europe”.
Jasper Spruit, the Vice President for Traffic Development at Oslo Airport’s operator Avinor, said, “Croatia is an attractive market for both Norwegian tourists and industry, with Zagreb being close to many attractive summer destinations. We are glad to have Croatia Airlines on our team and we believe this route will be popular”.
