Croatia and Switzerland to Cooperate on Ten Projects

ZAGREB, March 27, 2018 – The Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Gabrijela Žalac on Tuesday signed ten agreements on the implementation of projects under the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme, worth 335.5 million kuna in total.

The funds will be invested in water supply and drainage projects in Delnice, Fužine and Brod Moravice, in the clearance of land mines in a forest outside Petrinja, vocational and higher education projects, support to small and medium companies for research and development, and in non-governmental sector projects.

The implementation of these projects will ensure further progress in the areas of environmental protection and infrastructure, mine clearance and socioeconomic integration, education and research, and non-government sector activities.

The Swiss contribution is 282.3 million kuna, the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds said.

The signing ceremony was attended by Science and Education Minister Blaženka Divjak, Swiss Ambassador Stefan Estermann, and the State Secretary at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy, Mario Šiljeg.
