The first nine months of this year almost surpassed the entire last year.

Jung Sky, a private Croatian charter airline, is celebrating eight years of operations and is having the best year ever. In the first nine months, the revenue almost surpassed the entire 2016, which was concluded with revenues in the amount of 23.7 million kunas. By the end of third quarter, the company earned 23.2 million kunas, which is an increase of 29 percent compared to the same period last year, reports tportal.hr on November 10, 2017.

“We did not expand our fleet this year, but we did conduct a thorough reorganisation of the company and improved the principles of sales and operational efficiency, which was obviously a good move that enabled us to increase revenues while reducing costs significantly. Also, the new set-up facilitates further expansion in more directions than in previous years,” said Krešimir Jung, a co-founder and CEO of the company, and at the same time one of its pilots.

The first three quarters of this year surpassed the same period last year in all parameters. Thus, the number of flight hours increased by 30 percent, the number of employees grew from 15 to 21, and the number of pilots from six to nine.

“We have always tried not to be mere imitators of what others are doing, so we are experimenting with new ways of selling services within the aviation segment. With the continuous education of all employees, the establishment of our dispatch department and the cooperation with top experts, we have achieved a high level of stability and resistance to all ‘earthquakes’ which are omnipresent in any type of business, but especially in aviation. We await future with a great deal of optimism and look forward to the realisation of many ideas which we are developing at this moment,” said Jung.

With two Cessna 525A CJ2 jets, Jung Sky performs business and private (tourist) flights to destinations across Europe and North Africa. Only ten percent of customers are from Croatia, while the rest are foreign clients – members of the business community, tourists, and often famous musicians, DJ stars, actors.

Both jets have a range of up to 1,500 miles and fly at speeds of up to 800 kilometres per hour. The most popular destinations to which the company operates are Rome, Milan, Geneva, Venice, Munich, Paris, London, Zurich, Berlin, and various Mediterranean airports in the summer months.
