After launching its new slogan on the River Thames, Croatia to take part in the World Travel Market in London.
One of the world’s largest tourism fairs will be opened in London today, gathering more than five thousand exhibitors from 186 countries and regions, reports Vecernji List on November 2, 2015. One of the countries present will be Croatia, which is a regular participant at this fair. Local tourism officials have arrived to the British capital with plenty of good results to brag about. Croatia has been very popular destination this year, with a record half a million British tourists coming to Croatia, which is 13 percent more than last year. The promotional campaign for the British tourist market began a few weeks ago on the Thames, at a spectacular event which launched the new slogan of Croatian tourism industry – “Croatia, Full of Life”.
That Croatia is no longer what it once was should be seen at the exhibition area of the Croatian National Tourist Board as well. Two hundred square metres of exhibition space have been designed without walls and partitions, in a much more modern way than in previous years, with the representatives of the Croatian National Tourist Board having new uniforms as well. Formal skirts and suits have been replaced by more appropriate dresses for women and more casual slacks and shirts for men.
The new slogan will be printed on several places at the exhibition area, as well as on the new shirts. The new, more modern exhibition area will allow visitors to discover Croatian destinations via touch screen monitors. With a single click they will be able to launch Google’s Street View feature and go for a virtual walk through selected destinations. Croatian tourism officials have scheduled meetings with all the major British tour operators, while tourism minister Darko Lorencin will give an interview for Travel Channel, which can be seen in 130 countries.
