ZAGREB, May 16, 2018 – The director of the Croatian National Tourism Board (HTZ) Kristjan Stančić said on Wednesday in Shanghai, where he is attending the ITB China travel exhibition, that China is a strategically important market for Croatia’s tourism, adding that the number of Chinese travellers to Croatia rose by 40% this year.
Croatia is presenting its tourism services at the ITB China as part of the large European Travel Commission stand.
Stančić underscored it was important to simplify the visa regime with China and introduce direct flights between Chinese and Croatian destinations.
ITB China is a three-day event being held from 16 to 18 May at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre. The event is an opportunity for Chinese travel industry buyers to see the potential of tourism products and services, brand new products, innovative services.
