Tie Me bowties are made to order as well.
Katarina Talian, Marija Šulc and Vanesa Tipura have created a fashion brand Tie Me in their student days and proved that bowties can be worn by fashion-conscious women as well, reports Poslovni.hr on March 22, 2016.
“The idea came to us spontaneously during a night out. The singer had a bow tie, we started talking about it and concluded that the bowtie offer in Zagreb and in the rest of Croatia was rather scarce. If you wanted a pattern or colour of your choice, the quest would often end unsuccessfully. We have always wanted to develop our own brand and had different ideas. We threw ourselves into sewing, designing and launched Tie Me”, Katarina Talian, Marija Šulc and Vanesa Tipura explained.
The whole story started about three years ago when they started making the first bowties for themselves and their friends, and then more and more people started looking for their products. They set up their own Facebook page and kept building on the existing models and improving their brand.
“The idea behind Tie Me is to reintroduce into daily use an accessory that has been a bit neglected lately. At first, we wanted to offer something different – bowties that will be more modern and appropriate for everyday occasions. Also, we always like to see a bowtie on a woman, so we decided to offer bowties tailored to each woman’s taste, from classic to large and elegant. Our main advantage is the ability to make bowties to the customer’s preference”, Talian, Šulc and TIpura said.
They say there have been situations where the customers bring the fabric for the bowties. “One of the major goals for the future is to offer our products on international markets via a web shop and cooperation with foreign stores. We are already developing new products and we want to expand the range, while looking for ways to remain special and different”, they emphasized.
