Atlantic Group CEO to lecture in prestigious American university.
Emil Tedeschi, the CEO and majority owner of Atlantic group, will give a lecture next week on Harvard, one of the most respected universities in the world. Harvard Business School has invited Tedeschi to give a lecture about his experiences in creating a multinational company, reports Index.hr on October 21, 2015.
“Tedeschi will talk about his entrepreneurial beginnings, which date back to the end of the 1980s, a turbulent period for the European continent due to the fall of the Berlin Wall, which triggered a series of significant events, including the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. Unlike other former communist countries like Czechoslovakia, which went through a peaceful dissolution, former Yugoslavia collapsed into bloody conflict. It was not a very supportive environment for entrepreneurship. From humble beginnings in 1990, the Atlantic group has become one of the largest and most respected companies in Central and Eastern Europe. Tedeschi will also talk about how to establish a balance between work and private life, because in addition to running a big company, he finds time for his hobbies – music and basketball (he owns one of the most successful Croatian basketball teams)”, reads the invitation to the lecture.
In June, Harvard Business School published a study on the takeover of Slovenian Droga Kolinska, which was taken over five years ago by the Atlantic group. The study has been included in the Harvard database and is used in teaching.
In September, Atlantic group received an award given by Euromoney, the world’s leading professional financial magazine, and was declared the best-run company in Croatia, the second best-run company in Central and Eastern Europe, and the best-run company in the food and beverage sector in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.
