December the 3rd, 2020 – The Croatian company Q, which has already received a lot of very well deserved good press of late, has taken things even further, winning a prestigious German innovation award for its application (app).

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian company Q’s medical application “medi vision”, which was created by the Zagreb-based IT company for the German company “medi”, won the prestigious German Innovation Award 2020, Q reported on Tuesday. “Medi vision” is a digital tool that enables fast and accurate measurements using 3D models and thus facilitates the selection of medical devices, the statement said. It will be made available to users in 90 countries in which “medi” is already present.

The new and heavily praised app is already used throughout Germany in pharmacies and specialty stores, and will soon be found in other parts of Europe where “medi” operates, as well as in the markets of the US, Canada, Brazil, China, Russia and Australia, they stated from the Croatian company Q, emphasising that this sort of innovation will help many patients around the world recover more quickly.

Medi, which is based in Bayreuth, Germany, is otherwise one of the world’s leading manufacturers of medical devices and currently employs more than 2,700 people. “Medi” is a loyal partner of Q in the development of highly innovative medical-technological solutions, and cooperation on the aforementioned application took place on several levels, from the planning and development of the strategy and design to development and maintenance of the application itself, as they reported from this Zagreb company.

Q’s CEO Filip Ljubic said in a statement that they are very proud of their client which won two awards at the German Innovation Award 2020, one of which was an award for the application on which Q worked.

“The German design council, which awarded the ”media vision” award, was most enthusiastic about the fact that the app can scan a part of the body, and then create a 3D model that the user can rotate in virtual space,” said Ljubic. The Croatian company Q also stated that their German recognition is just one of their great successes this year.

In 2020, which was otherwise dominated by a pandemic and consequent economic downturn, Q still managed to generate its highest revenues to date. It enriched its team with 55 new employees, nine out of ten of its clients are leaders in their own respective industries. It was also quite rightfully named one of the top 20 web development companies in the entire world.
