September the 8th, 2024 – The Croatian Dalekovod company has managed to secure a hefty contract in Norway worth 63 million euros in total.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Norwegian national electricity transmission company Statnett recently informed the Croatian Dalekovod company that it was the most favourable bidder.
They were informed following the normal evaluation process, and in accordance with the tender criteria for the construction of the eastern part of the 420 kV transmission line along Norway’s Blafalli-Gismarvik section. As the Croatian Dalekovod company reported, the realisation of that project, worth more than 63 million euros in total, includes the construction of a new 420 kV transmission line spanning a length of 59 kilometres, and the construction is planned to be carried out from 2024 to 2027.
It’s worth noting that back in April of this year, Norway’s Statnett chose Dalekovod for the construction of another transmission line, along the Vik – Sogndal line, which is a job worth more than 14 million euros. The execution of those works is planned from the summer of 2024 to the middle of 2028.
Over the first half of the year, the well known Croatian Dalekovod company operated with a net profit of 2.56 million euros after the interruption of operations, which is a massive 10.5 times more than in the same period last year. Business revenues for this large domestic enterprise also reached 58.3 million euros, eight percent more than in the first half of 2023.
At the group level, in the first six months of 2024, the Croatian Dalekovod achieved a 23 percent increase in operating income compared to the same period in 2023, seeing it hit 87.4 million euros. Net profits from discontinued operations also stood at 4.8 million euros.
By the end of June, the Dalekovod group had contracts worth 327 million euros, 46 million euros more than back at the end of 2023, which, as the company’s management pointed out, has a favourable effect on the expected growth and predictability of income in the coming period, as well as on the expected growth in the profitability of the business.
