November the 22nd, 2020 – As the coronavirus pandemic continues to throw spanners in the works for the majority of economic activities, some still manage to shine. Several Croatian enterprises have been included on the list of the fastest growing in all of Central Europe, and while that always gives more than enough reason for pride, in these dire circumstances – that reason is even stronger.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, this year’s 21st edition of the Deloitte competition of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Central Europe was attended by companies from 18 countries, including Croatia, where a total of six Croatian enterprises were placed – five in the main category of fastest growing (Electrocoin, Bazzar.hr, Agrivi, Include and Eco Mobile), one in the category of Rising Stars (Speck), while in the new category of Stars of Positive Influence, three Croatian enterprises (Infinum, Infobip and Rimac Automobili) are represented.
The Croatian company Electrocoin, whose main activity is brokerage in cryptocurrency trading and cryptocurrency processing, took 6th place in the category of the 50 fastest growing companies with a growth of 2617 percent. In 36th place is the consumer platform for online shopping, Bazzar.hr, with a growth of 695 percent, in 39th place is the agro-technological company Agrivi, which grew by 640 percent, Solin’s Include, which develops and manufactures urban street equipment for smart cities and solar production ranks 44th with a growth of 549 percent, and Zagreb’s Eco Mobile came 47th place, with a growth of 530 percent. That company specialises in the development, production and implementation of advanced ICT solutions to support waste management processes.
In the Rising Stars category, Speck ranked 3rd with growth of 1,076 percent, and in the Special Stars of Positive Influence category, which was launched this year, three Croatian enterprises were represented: Rimac cars, Infinum and Infobip.
On that occasion, the director of Electrocoin, Nikola Skoric, pointed out that the company was founded at first only as a hobby, but later they saw the potential of the then brand new cryptocurrency industry. “It turns out that we can not only innovate, but also make a profit, grow at speed, push crypto into the mainstream and start a revolution in the payment industry. We still manage to have fun making our customers happy,” points out Skoric.
The director of Speck, Tomislav Tenodi, pointed out that having a versatile team of experts in the Speck team enables the translation of business values into digital products guided by technology that people like to use. ”I launched Speck with a vision to create a unique platform of knowledge and expertise with which each team member can learn, grow and advance professionally. After three years of working in a team of over 40 experts and creating solutions for global clients of global influence at Fintech, EdTech and MarTech, I’m proud to say that this teamwork is truly a dream come true,” said Tenodi.
