The largest increase in sales was observed in Austria, where the four leading Croatian exporters recorded an increase in revenues of as much as 40 per cent compared with the record-breaking 2019.
The data shows that Italians love Croatian truffles and cod, while Hungarians are fond of Croatian ice-cream and water. Last year, Slovenians discovered Dobro cured meat products marketed by the Žito company, which saw its sales double from 2020.
The statement noted that the exporter rankings were dominated by large producers, including Atlantic, Podravka, Cromaris, Dukat and Vindija, while lip balm producer Vimi, cured meat producer Dobro and New Bakery, currently the largest European baklava factory, stood out among small producers.
