A big contract for electricity supplier, HEP.

HEP Opskrba and the State Office for Central Public Procurement have signed a two-year framework agreement on the supply of electricity for 560 users of central procurement procedures, which includes government and public administration bodies. The total estimated value of the agreement during this period is 165 million kuna, reported Hrvatska Elektroprivreda (HEP) on Monday, reports Poslovni.hr on December 7, 2015.

Based on this agreement, HEP will supply with electricity various ministries, government organizations, the central government headquarters, social welfare centers, universities, museums, nature parks and other state and public institutions. The agreement was signed by Deputy Head of the State Office for Central Public Procurement Ivančica Franković and director of HEP Opskrba Tina Jakaša.

The statement quoted HEP general manager Perica Jukić who pointed out that the company was extremely satisfied “with the fact that HEP Opskrba has offered the lowest price at a unified public tender for the supply of government offices, institutions and organizations for a period of two years, with a hundred percent of electricity coming from renewable sources”.

HEP also pointed out that signing of the framework agreement represents a confirmation of a convincing leadership position of HEP Opskrba on the Croatian market. They noted that in September HEP Opskrba won four-year contracts to supply with electricity the cities of Zagreb and Split, worth a total of 250 million kuna. They have also won the tenders for street lighting in Zadar, Bjelovar, Vukovar, Ploče, Metković, Kutina and for the supply of electricity of the Istrian Country, Clinical Hospital Dubrava in Zagreb and other large customers around Croatia.

In addition, HEP has been expanding to the Slovenian market, where it has won a five percent share of the market in the segment of business users. HEP is supplying with electricity more than 150 Slovenian companies, cities and public institutions, such as the City of Ljubljana, the Port of Koper, the Slovenian National Theatre in Ljubljana and many others.
