Total Croatia News

Lidl has introduced many Croatian brands and products in its Europen stores

According to the company press release sent out on March 1, 2016, Lidl, second largest retail chain on the Croatian market, exported more than 8,9 million EUR worth of Croatian goods through its stores across Europe in 2015.

Since in 2014 they exported 5,7 million euros of Croatian products through the same channels, LIDL is extremely happy that they almost doubled their effect in just 12 months.

“This success is due to the great cooperation we have with Croatian producers and the high quality of their product” Lidl management stated adding that these sort of presentations on foreign markets open doors for many Croatian producers and products since LIDL stores give them the opportunity to be seen and tried by buyers from all over Europe.

Lidl exports products from the following Croatian companies: PPK, Osatina, Alba, Dukat, Kandit, Meggle, Pan-Pek, PP Orahovica, Zdenka. All of these companies have presented their product under their own brand or Lidl’s well-known home brands, but their price and high quality are the reason why they are being recognized by buyers and why their sales are rapidly growing.

Lidl is constantly expanding its cooperation with Croatian companies, adding more brands in its international sales network, so we can expect these export numbers to grow even further in the future.
