It is 7 years since I first met Mate Rimac at the Nikola Tesla EV Rally in Porec. Back then, he was (he still is) a kid wanting to make cool toys, and it has been a joy to watch his progress over the years. On the day we met, I also got to meet and interview the first-ever buyer of the Rimac Concept_One for a cool US$1 million. You can read my interview with Paul Runge here.
Runge was also the first to import the original Rimac luxury car into the United States. He has now been joined by the new owner of the Concept_One successor, the Rimac Nevera, which has taken the automotive industry by storm, as well as smashing a number of world records. The Nevera has a price tag in excess of US$2 million.
And now, you can see the Rimac Nevera on the streets of New York, as luxury car dealer Manhattan Motorcars Inc. announced another Rimac first on social media:
