The winner will be announced on Saturday.
Organised by the EY auditing and consulting company, the presentation ceremony for the World Entrepreneur of the Year Award will be held on Saturday in Monte Carlo. One of the nominated candidates is Croatian entrepreneur Mate Rimac, who has won the Croatian part of the competition, reports Poslovni.hr on June 13, 2018.
The event will include 56 entrepreneurs from 46 countries. Rimac has been nominated due to his work in his Rimac Automobili company.
The name of the winner will be announced on Saturday, June 16, as part of a four-day conference, where the Croatian representative will have the opportunity to present his activities and entrepreneurial career to a six-member jury led by Jim Nixon, the CEO of Nixon Energy Investments.
Mate Rimac will be the fourth Croatian representative in the world competition. In the previous three years, Croatia was represented by Alan Sumina and Zoran Vučinić from Nanobit, Đuro Horvat from Tehnix, and Marko Pipunić from Žito.
Mate Rimac won the opportunity to present himself at the world stage after he won the title of the Croatian EY Entrepreneur of the Year, where he was selected among 36 entrepreneurs from 28 local companies.
“We are extremely proud that our country and local entrepreneurship will be presented in Monte Carlo by such a prominent name and a life-story which is not only an encouragement to many but also a proof that there are no limits and no impossible ideas,” said EY’s Country Managing Partner in Croatia Berislav Horvat.
It is precisely the stories like Mate’s that we want to promote with this programme, Horvat said, pointing out that, with new and different ideas, dedicated work and the desire to involve as many people as possible in his unique business projects, Mate Rimac promotes entrepreneurship which is the backbone of every economy.
