ZAGREB, July 29, 2018 – Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli on Sunday reiterated that it was necessary to raise salaries in the tourism sector to prevent the brain drain phenomenon in that sector, suggesting that the government could reduce tax burden and employees could find extra money in their reserves.
He however, stressed that he never mentioned a 30 percent increase and that he was misquoted.
Commenting on the number of guests visiting Croatia, Cappelli said their number was now the same as the year before, adding that he expected an increase of four or five percent by the end of July and a seven percent increase by the end of the year.
