ZAGREB, March 18, 2018 – A total of 676 building permits were issued in Croatia in January 2018, an increase of 1.2% compared to January 2017, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) has said.
The value of building work under these permits is estimated at 1.4 billion kuna, which is 25% less than the year before.
Broken down by type of construction, 558 permits or 82.5% were issued for buildings and 118 or 17.5% for other structures. A total of 310 permits were issued for residential buildings and 89 permits for non-residential buildings.
By type of work, 482 permits or 71.3% were issued for new buildings and 194 permits or 28.7% for reconstruction work.
