ZAGREB, March 11, 2018 – The price of gas supplies for Croatian households will not be changed in the period between 1 April and 31 July this year, the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency (HERA) has announced.
The regulator recalls that provisions of the new legislation on the gas market that took effect on 3 March envisages that, during a transitional period that expires on 1 August 2018, the Croatian state-run power provider HEP is designated to be the wholesale gas supplier.
From 1 April to 1 August 2018, HEP is supposed to sell gas supplies to providers for households at the current valid price. For the households that is 0.1809 kuna per kilowatt-hour.
HERA is “an autonomous, independent and non-profit public institution which regulates energy activities in the Republic of Croatia.”
The regulator recalls that, as of 1 August, a new methodology of calculating gas tariff rates should be applied, and it calls on parties concerned to give their recommendations regarding the regulator’s draft methodology.
