Food Solution is aimed at large customers.
Podravka has introduced a new segment called Food Solution which it wants to use to make a breakthrough in the food segment and help its business customers increase the quality level of their services and save money, reports tportal.hr on October 15, 2016.
The newly built Food Solution factory, specializing in the production of freshly prepared ready-made dishes, covers an area of about 1500 square metres and has the latest and best equipment for food preparation and cooking. It was built in accordance with the highest international standards in the food industry and all other procedures of food safety.
It currently offers 130 different dishes which are intended, among others, for institutions such as army and police, hospitals, retail chains, and companies that have their own corporate restaurants. There are soups, hors d’oeuvres, sauces and dressings, hot appetizers, main dishes, marinated fresh meat, side dishes and desserts. These are all freshly prepared/cooked/baked ready-made dishes, with high quality ingredients and flavours, without any stabilizers or additives.
“In this way, Podravka has once again assumed the role of a trendsetter and introduced a brand new concept of operations in the market. The uniqueness of this project is that it offers not only products but also support services, which are very much needed by our customers. Given the very positive reactions from our national customers and inquiries from other countries, it is our intention to turn this programme into a new international business venture”, said the CEO of Podravka Zvonimir Mršić.
Peter Fuchs, senior vice president for Food Solution, added: “Food Solution includes completely new gastronomic segment in which, in addition to very high-quality products, we want to transfer to customers the necessary ‘know-how’ about how selection and preparation, kitchen operations, and staff and organizational segments.”
Podravka has decided to demonstrate its new project in its own newly renovated canteen for employees, in which it invested about 4 million kuna and which significantly improved the satisfaction level of its employees. Podravka’s employees can now daily choose between three different menus, three different ready-made salads, two fresh salads and two desserts. The cost for an employee, depending on the combination of dishes, is between 5 to 10 kuna.
