– 21st edition of GAST will welcome 510 exhibitors from 6 countries: Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Austria. This is the first time GAST will be held in Spaladium Arena, but this is t third project which we have organized in this venue. Exhibitors are much happier with the new location, access is now much easier and the costs are lower. This year we have the pleasure of presenting the very first Ice cream and Confectionary Expo, this is a high quality and very demanding segment when it comes to equipping any hotel or restaurant. We are always listening to the demands of our market and this seems to be an area in which the bar is being set higher every season – said Sanja Vuković Veić, director of Sajam Split, organizers of GAST.

GAST will also bring a whole string of additional conferences and workshops including the 5th Tourism network, 21st International competition for wines and spirits Autochthonous cuisine workshop (Wednesday, March 2), Barmen’s competition (March 4) and traditional charity celebrity cook-off on March 5.

-As Split continues to grow in the tourism sense, GAST is growing with it, and we are very pleased to see that trend. The number of visitors and exhibitors is increasing which tells us Split is a very attractive expo destination. Spaladium Arena is also turning out to be a very useful location for events like this one and we should use it more often in order to turn Split into a real expo city – said deputy mayor of Split, Goran Kovačević.

– Split – Dalmatian County has been a partner of GAST since day one because this is the meeting place of all producers and consumers. Our county has given out more than 600 loans to the amount of 60 million kunas to producers of agricultural goods, and that will remain an integral part of our policy – said the deputy county prefect Ante Šošić.
