Turkey’s Dogus Group Hosts Two Regattas in Croatia

ZAGREB, May 23, 2018 – Turkey’s Dogus Group is hosting two TP52 Super Series regattas in its marinas in Croatia this month and in late June.

The first race kicks off in the D-Marin Mandalina marina at Šibenik on May 23 and will last until May 27, while the other one is scheduled for June 20-24 at Zadar’s D-Marin Dalmatia marina.

Thirteen state-of-the-art sailboats have arrived in Croatia for the Šibenik regatta.

“We think this is a boating event of the year in Croatia, and we are happy to have been given a chance to host this world-renowned event. We believe this will strongly promote Croatia, Šibenik and Zadar,” the CEO of D-Marin Group Burak Baykan told a press conference ahead of the regatta.

Baykan said he expected that the regattas would have a positive impact on the business results of the two marinas, as well as on the hotels in Šibenik. He said that they would try to bring one prestigious regatta to Croatia every year.
