They already have 18 hospitals and 13 healthcare centres and now they’re entering Croatia
As reported by Poslovni.hr on March 4, 2016, Turkish Acibadem Healthcare Group, which manages 18 hospitals and 13 healthcare centres has announced its entry into the Croatian market. Their first step will be to open an office in Zagreb for patients that are interested in receiving treatment in their centres inTurkey and in the near future they are also interested in concrete investments in the Croatian healthcare system through the construction of a full scope hospital.
„Our aim is to offer our services to Croatians“, said Leyla Ataoglu, director of the AHG team for the Balkans while explaining that Acibadem Group has an international department which is responsible for patients outside of Turkey, including patients in Croatia.
Along with their facilities and hospitals in Turkey, Acibadem also has hospitals in Macedonia and northern parts of Iraq while their new hospitals in Bulgaria and Amsterdam will open by the end of this year. Company representatives also state they have signed contracts with state health insurance funds in all countries where they are present including Serbia and Montenegro so if patients decide on a treatment that is not available in their own country, it is covered by the state health insurance fund.
No timelines have been set yet regarding the opening of their branch in Zagreb or the possible construction the above-mentioned hospital, but we will keep you informed on all new developments.
