Viadukt and Partners Sign Contract Worth 29 Million Euro with Rijeka Port

The Viadukt construction company announced on Wednesday that, together with a group of bidders, they have signed a contract on the construction of a harbour back warehouse Škrljevo, in the free zone of Rijeka Port in Škrljevo, Poslovni Dnevnik wrote on July 20, 2016.

Viadukt will build the warehouse together with construction companies GP Krk and GP Mikić, the client is Rijeka Port, value of investment is over 29 million Euro without VAT, while the deadline is 14.5 months.

The works entail reconstruction and modernisation of existing warehouses and construction of new ones. Also the existing infrastructural capacities will be reconstructed and modernised as well as new ones built, such as traffic and manipulative surfaces, industrial tracks, energy infrastructure, substations, pipelines, sewage and others. Supervision will be carried out by Zagreb-based Investinženjering.

The back warehouse will support the container terminal in Brajdica and a new one on the Zagreb quay, being built, where containers will be filled, emptied, washed and repaired. Other than container traffic, the warehouse will also be sued for general and bulk cargo, bringing new jobs to the Rijeka area.
