The return of a popular auto expo to Zagreb.
Zagreb Auto Show, the largest car exhibition in Southeast Europe, will be held from 5 to 10 April at the Zagreb Fair. After a eight year break due to the economic crisis, in fourteen exhibition halls with a total area of approximately 70,000 square metres some of the latest models of cars will be presented. It is expected that visitors will be able to see about 30 Croatian premieres of new car models, said Dina Tomšić, director of the Zagreb Fair, reports Vecernji List and Dnevnik.hr on February 6, 2016.
“Zagreb Auto Show has multiple beneficial effects for the city, both economic and tourist. At the same time, it is a project which will announce a new strategy for the redevelopment of the Zagreb Fair”, said Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandić. According to Tomšić, the exhibition space has been reserved by 200 exhibitors, including 31 car manufacturers, 22 motorcycle exhibitors, 13 producers of commercial vehicles and six bus production companies.
The fair will include additional events as well, so visitors will be able to test drive exhibited cars, and they will take part in an automobile slalom competition and kart races. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a classic car show.
“For the first time, we will be able to see models of Rimac Automobili, a Croatian manufacturer of electric cars, which will present Concept One and Dok-Ing. Some of the exhibition halls will be renovated for this edition of the Zagreb Auto Show”, added Tomšić. The entrance prices will be 35 kuna for regular visitors and 25 kuna for seniors and students. It is expected that about 120,000 visitors will come to the exhibition, with Saturday and Sunday being the most popular days.
Organizers say that the Zagreb Auto Show is definitely an event not to be missed, since it will introduce the visitors to the unique world of cars and motorcycles, full of new models, passion and glamour.
