TAP Portugal is cancelling its direct flight Zagreb-Lisbon in March
Portuguese flag carrier airline TAP currently operates three weekly direct flights connecting Zagreb and Lisbon (with a 45 minute technical stop in Bologna), but according to the report from Ex-Yu Aviation published on January 19,2016, that flight will be cancelled on March 27. TAP is currently restructuring and in order to cut costs they will optimize their flight schedules meaning that they will no longer fly to Zagreb, Bogota, Manaus and Panama City.
However, according to TAP, they will not entirely cut their connection with Zagreb; instead they will have a flight through Zurich in cooperation with Croatia Airlines.
Even though Zagreb Airport is losing one flight, it looks like it will gain two new ones. According to Ex-Yu Aviation, Czech Airlines is about to introduce a direct flight Zagreb – Prague four times a week, while Air Transat is close to announcing their seasonal flight Zagreb Toronto.
