March the 11th, 2026 – Another tourist season is approaching, and Croatia adorning the Polish cover of the National Geographic Traveler magazine is spotlighting the country early on.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the wild popularity of Croatia as a tourist destination in the Polish and British markets is best confirmed by the covers and reports about the country published in National Geographic Traveler magazine. The publication is otherwise one of the world’s most influential travel magazines, reports Fenix-magazin.
In this year’s fourth issue of the Polish version of the magazine, Croatia adorns the cover of National Geographic Traveler. The country is presented in its glossiest edition as the main topic through an extensive feature that introduces readers to the diversity of Croatia’s many different regions, natural beauty and cultural heritage.
Łukasz Załuski, editor-in-chief of the Polish National Geographic Traveler, emphasised that Croatia is a destination to which travellers are always more than happy to return.
“Some countries always attract people to come back again and again, and Croatia is one of the favourite destinations of Poles, for whom the Adriatic represents the ideal backdrop for a real summer holiday,” said Załuski. The report takes readers through different parts of the country – from the heavily praised Dalmatian islands of Hvar, Korčula and Lastovo, to the cities of Dubrovnik and Split on the mainland. Special emphasis is also placed on the natural contrasts of Dalmatia, the cultural wealth of the Istrian peninsula and the unique landscape of the fertile Neretva Delta in the extreme south of Dalmatia.
The same issue also published an editorial by the deputy editor-in-chief, Agnieszka Załęska-Franus, who describes the Croatian philosophy of life “polako” (taking it easy) through her own personal travel experiences.
As she said, it is precisely the Dalmatian polako approach to life, through enjoying the moment and doing things without rushing, that highlights some of the special features that Croatia boasts as a destination. That attitude provides Polish travel enthusiasts with a truly authentic experience, from the ancient stone streets of Dubrovnik and views of the Adriatic to Plitvice Lakes, Split and all of Istria’s historic hilltop towns.
Croatia was also plastered in its full glory across the cover of the British edition of National Geographic Traveller magazine. The UK edition presented various Croatian destinations and experiences as part of a reportage spanning over 20 pages.
