Croatia to open Embassy in Kazakhstan in 2018

Croatia is set to open an embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan next year.

As inform.kz reports on the 27th of November, 2017, Croatian Ambassador Tonči Staničić informed journalists that the Republic of Croatia is set to open an embassy in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, in 2018. 

According to inform.kz, Staničić stated that the aim of the new embassy is to further develop Kazakh-Croatian relations, which both nations believe need to be strengthened.

While the upcoming embassy’s opening has already been agreed upon by the governments of both countries, more precise timing has not yet been decided.

Kazakh Secretary of State Gulshara Abdykalikova stated that the Central Asian nation views the Republic of Croatia positively and as an ”important and promising promising partner” in South Eastern Europe.
