March the 3rd, 2025 – Croatia has been spotlighted as a top tourist destination in LA as the much anticipated Oscars approach.
As Morski writes, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) and the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Los Angeles have been busy presenting Croatia as a top tourist destination in LA.
They have done so on the occasion of the upcoming ceremony of the prestigious Oscar film awards. A promotional event for Croatia was organised in LA, which brought together actors from across the spectrum of the the tourism and film industry. That included producers, agents, media outlets and lovers of Croatia.
Naturally, main stars of the event were members of the crew of the film “The Man Who Couldn’t Keep Silent”. In addition to showcasing Croatia as a top tourist destination in LA, the primary reason for the gathering was the first nomination of a Croatian film for the prestigious Oscar award of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the category of best short film.
To briefly recap, the year has only just entered into its third month and Croatia has already been put firmly into the limelight. The popular European Best Destinations portal ranked Croatia as the best country to visit in 2025, after it was voted on by the portal’s millions of readers.
In addition to that, the same portal ranked three southern Dalmatian destinations as the best places to visit this year. They were the southernmost town of Cavtat, the southernmost city of Dubrovnik, and the beautiful island of Mljet, a stunning national park known as Croatia’s green island.
The sweltering Croatian summer heat might seem distant, but it will be here before you know it. This promotion of Croatia as a top tourist destination in LA will undoubtedly contribute to more visits being realised by US tourists this season.
