July the 10th, 2025 – Have you found your pomalo? The brand new Croatian Tourist Board campaign is inviting you to find your pomalo somewhere in the country for which the word is famous.
There are numerous possible translations for “pomalo” – take it easy, take it slow, no pressure, no rush, slow down, chill, take it steady… The word encompasses life in Croatia, particularly along the Dalmatian coast and on the islands, where there’s never a need to rush for, well, anything really. It’s the ideal slogan for a the new Croatian Tourist Board campaign focusing on emitting markets abroad.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the very peak of the summer tourist season is looming, and there could be no better time for the Croatian Tourist Board to launch its latest promotional campaign: Find Your Pomalo. According to them “the goal of the campaign is to bring travel and holiday lovers closer to a lifestyle that involves a complete escape from our loud, hectic and stressful everyday lives. It is being carried out exclusively through social media; namely through TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube”.
As part of the new Croatian Tourist Board campaign, video clips were created that will bring users closer to the feeling of enjoying the moment, slowing down the pace and discovering the true beauty of life. In other words, the desire is to showcase Croatia’s much loved pomalo way of life that everyone should experience and feel, at least now and again.
“We’re increasingly noticing an increased demand for local customs and a peaceful way of life, authentic experiences, and the trend of slow travel is becoming increasingly popular. Tourists want to get better acquainted with and experience the culture of the destination they’re staying in. They want to connect with unspoiled places and quiet down their own thoughts. That’s why, through this campaign, we’d like to invite tourists to come to Croatia, enjoy it, and truly indulge in a proper holiday here. We believe that many people will find their own versions of “pomalo” here and return home feeling refreshed, rested, and full of impressions. That’s ultimately the meaning of quality travel and a break from our everyday routines,” said Kristjan Staničić, inviting everyone to join the campaign and share their #findyourpomalo moments on social media.
The latest Croatian Tourist Board campaign covers all the most important source markets for Croatian tourism, and will be active until the end of August 2025.
