Croatia to Award Scholarships to Diaspora Students

ZAGREB, April 29, 2018 – The State Office for Croats Abroad has awarded 500 scholarships for the 2017/2018 academic year for Croatian students coming from abroad, 100 of which are for study courses in Croatia and 400 for courses in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The 700-kuna-a-month scholarships are granted for a period of 10 months, hence Croatia has earmarked 3.5 million kuna for this purpose.

A total of 2,377 applications were submitted, 1,928 satisfied the set criteria, with 500 being selected in the end.

The names of the successful candidates have been uploaded on the office’s website, while a final list will be released after the expiry of the deadline for appeals.
