May 2, 2018 – As TCN continues to evolve, we will be adding a few new features to our portfolio, and we are delighted that Borna Sor has agreed to run our adventure into the world of podcasting.
TCN is evolving.
It is a project which started 6.5 years ago with a laptop and a cold beer in a cafe on a pretty square on a Dalmatian island, and which today has destination sites for Hvar, Split, Inland Dalmatia, Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Korcula and Medjugorje, as well as niche sites for Croatian wine, sailing, cycling and dental tourism, and three national news portals for Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia.
While blogging is the at the core of what we do, the younger generation of TCN writer has been telling me for some time that we need to get more video onto the site, and diversify the way we deliver our content. Although I am a bit of an old dinosaur and quite set in my ways, I do concede that the younger heads have a point.
I never expected to get into podcasting, however, but the arrival of News Bar legend Borna Sor on the TCN team has given us an additional perspective and fresh ideas. And so when Borna suggested that we start a podcast with him interviewing a range of characters, both expat and Croatian, to take a closer look at the realities of modern Croatia, I was of course delighted to agree.
Here is Borna with his first guest on the very first TCN podcast. Many thanks to Cody Brown, for his willingness to be our podcasting guinea pig. Author, professor and mildly obsessed with his punica (mother-in-law), I really enjoyed the exchange between Borna and Cody in the podcast below. I hope you do too.
We are also keen for your feedback to the podcast feature, to help us decide in which direction to head. And while we have a number of great guests in the pipeline, if you have any suggestions for future guests, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us on [email protected] ;
