Continuing its half a century tradition of producing Dingač, Badel 1862 continues that story with a new superior wine Dingač 50, offering an even more special wine experienced and refined taste, Poslovni Dnevnik reported on May 12, 2017.
Dingač 50 is a superior wine created in the cooperation of Badel oenologists with chosen Pelješac winemakers and presents a new, modern turn in the production of Dingač. The very name Dingač 50 comes from the average slope of Dingač position where the grapes of the Plavac Mali variety were harvested. This slope enables the grapes to absorb three suns: the one from the sky and reflections from the stone and sea. The slope is also present in the label design, cut at a 50 degree angle, which also honours the traditional donkey, the only one able to scale such a slope in the past.
Dingač 50 is marked by a red colour with a slightly brownish character typical of ripe Plavac, fresh scent, rich aroma of ripe berry fruit with specific gentle aromas of dried grapes, additionally harmonised with discrete aromas of aging in wooden barrels. Harmoniously balanced body, with ripe and soft tannins, elegant and warm in the mouth, the Dingač 50 and its drinkability and body harmony makes it somewhat atypical compared to traditional high-alcoholic, heavy, tannin Dingač wines, something that will thrill the admirers of this variety, as well as those looking for new experiences of superior wines.
