April the 13th, 2025 – The Croatian company DOK-ING has impressed the crowds once again, this time at the Adriatic Sea Defence & Aerospace (ASDA) conference and fair.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, this Croatian enterprise is globally recognised and respected for its solutions in the field of unmanned systems. DOK-ING recently demonstrated its innovation with five unmanned systems, which were presented at the Adriatic Sea Defence & Aerospace conference and fair. The event was held from the 8th to the 10th of April 2025 at the Zagreb Arena.
The DOK-ING Komodo unmanned vehicle was presented for the first time at the Adriatic Sea Defence & Aerospace fair, and it attracted plenty of praise. This remarkable piece of DOK-ING innovation is characterised by the possibility of wide application across the security sector. Only part of the unmanned systems intended for operation in crisis situations, military engineering tasks and counter-terrorism operations was presented and exhibited.
Komodo is a multi-purpose, modular vehicle which easily adapts to all kinds of military and civilian applications by integrating its mission modules. That includes combat support tasks, military engineering, logistics, NBKO tasks, as well as other combat and non-combat tasks.
“Komodo is a multi-purpose modular unmanned vehicle that can accommodate specific modules as well as additional tools. It represents an innovation of the defence industry in the field of unmanned systems. The first configuration that should be placed on the market will be the one for operating in nuclear-biological-chemical-radiological defence and threat tasks. At the end of this year, a technological demonstrator configuration for military engineering and counter-mobility tasks will also be presented,” explained Gordan Pešić of DOK-ING.
The Adriatic Sea Defence & Aerospace fair brought together numerous state delegations, military delegations, security experts and representatives of the defence industry. Many of them also visited DOK-ING’s exhibition space while there.
Numerous meetings were held with interested partners and potential end users, among whom Komodo aroused the greatest interest. Through intensive discussions with representatives of the Croatian defence industry and numerous representatives of Croatian ministries, cooperation in the field of developing national defence capabilities was also strengthened.
Additional interest in the development of defence industry capacities and capabilities is palpable after recent announcements by the EU on a significant increase in investments in strengthening European security and defence capacities. There have also been announcements from the Croatian Government on an increase in national defence allocations.
“There’s been a strong increase in interest in unmanned air and ground systems. We’ve been working on the development of all kinds of capabilities within our strategic partnership with Rheinmetall. That includes solutions in the field of combat support and mobility and counter-mobility,” revealed Gordan Pešić.
DOK-ING’s cooperation with Rheinmetall otherwise boasts truly exceptional potential for the development of new defence capabilities. That makes Croatia’s impressive DOK-ING ready to respond more effectively to priority defence requirements that open up opportunities for additional investments in the defence industry, as well as the expansion of production and development capacities.
