March the 4th, 2026 – Dubrovnik-Neretva County, otherwise one of Croatia’s most popular for highly seasonal tourism, has seen a drop in tourism numbers in early 2026.
As DuList writes, throughout the very early month of February 2026, 15,904 arrivals and 43,885 overnight stays were recorded across Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Despite being incredibly seasonal (even in comparison to other coastal areas of Croatia), these figures still represented a 14 percent decrease in arrivals and 16 percent in overnight stays compared to February 2025.
The largest number of overnight stays was recorded by guests from elsewhere across Croatia (15,456), neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina (5,821), Serbia (1,624), the United Kingdom (1,349) and from much further afield in China (1,347).

Looking at the situation by type of accommodation used, the most overnight stays were recorded in hotels in February – a total of 21,813, which makes up 50 percent of the total number of overnight stays for the month. 12,616 overnight stays were also recorded in household facilities, representing 29 percent of the total numbers for Dubrovnik-Neretva County tourism in early 2026.
From the beginning of the year to the end of February, a total of 27,709 arrivals and 88,899 overnight stays were recorded across Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Compared to the same period in 2025, that represented a 10 percent drop in arrivals and a 2 percent drop in terms of overnight stays.
The largest number of overnight stays recorded over the first two months of this year were achieved by guests from across Croatia (26,969), Bosnia and Herzegovina (14,984), Serbia (3,455), Germany (3,081) and the United States (2,739).
As things currently stand, around 1,600 guests are staying in various locations across Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
